Value Creation Process
In 1971, when the mainstay of industry was shifting from the heavy chemical industry to the so-called high-tech industry, we started out as a near venture company, and with limited management resources, we have expanded our business with an awareness of how to effectively and efficiently utilize the six capitals (Human Capital, Intellectual Capital, Social and Relationship Capital, Natural Capital, Financial Capital, and Manufactured Capital) that form the foundation of corporate management.
Our business model is characterized by three key features: specialization in the electronics field of plating applications (Selection and Concentration), speed in communication and decision-making due to our single-site structure (Speed), and response to wide variety of products in small quantities with short delivery times by limiting plating chemical production to formulation (Formulation).
Selection and Concentration
We believe that there is a limit to the growth of plating technology (mainly for decorative purposes), which has developed based on electricity chemistry and empirical rules, and we are promoting our business by focusing on the electronics field with "functional plating technology based on molecular chemistry," which views plating as a physical and chemical object rather than a craft.By developing and improving plating chemicals while analyzing them at the molecular level using a physical chemistry approach, we have developed elemental technologies that are superior to those of other companies. Our strength lies in our ability to contribute to our customers' Cost reduction through technologies such as precisely forming plating processes of the required thickness only on the necessary areas to suppress gold adhesion on unnecessary areas, and to provide high-performance (excellent physical properties of metal thin films) and high-quality products (easy-to-manage products that suppress variations in the physical properties of metal thin films).
Speed
With these products, we are able to respond to customer requests in a timely and detailed manner through the activities of our engineers with “Curiosity on Chemistry” who also belong to our sales department. We have built a relationship of trust with our customers by providing prompt technical support, such as minimizing the customer‘s line stoppage time by providing analysis results within 2 to 3 days (2 to 3 weeks for other companies in the same industry) after conducting in-house analysis in response to inquiries when a problem occurs, as well as monitoring and analysis services for customers’ plating solutions and total solutions that provide advice on overall plating processes based on our えextensive knowledge accumulated over many years.
These activities are supported by speedy communication and internal decision-making due to gathering sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other departments at a single location.
Formulation
In the production of plating chemicals, we procure chemical raw materials from external suppliers and limit the manufacturing process to formulation operations (weighing, mixing, and packaging), which enables us to provide high value-added products that are compatible with wide variety products in small quantities.
Having these strengths and competitive advantages, with conscious of four key issues (materiality), we provide value to various stakeholders as outcomes including: consideration for the global environment through resource-saving products and/or using no hazardous substances products; expansion of corporate value and shareholder returns based on investment in growth; and increase of employee engagement through Active and Autonomous human resources x diverse work styles.
Based on our corporate philosophy "Contributing to electronics using Curiosity on Chemistry", we have named our medium-term vision "RDD2030" to become a fine chemical company that leads the electronics industry, and we are aiming to create new business value with the oxidation/reduction technology cultivated through plating, and to continuously expand our financial and non-financial value while reinvesting outputs generated from our business activities into management resources (inputs).
Human Capital
As a knowledge-intensive and development-oriented company, we believe that human capital is an important source of corporate value growth. We believe that the development of "Active and autonomous human resources" which we desire, will energize our business activities, including product development and sales activities, and that increasing employee engagement by creating a healthy and safe work environment in which employees can work with peace of mind will provide opportunities for business growth, and we are promoting "human capital management" in line with the following three themes and policies: (1) Fostering an organizational climate that encourages employees to share our corporate philosophy and proactively participate in realizing our vision, (2) Recruiting and developing "Active and autonomous human resources", and (3) Creating an easy-to-work-in and rewarding workplace environment.

Intellectual Capital
Our sales and engineering staff with technical backgrounds, who account for about 80% of our employees, work together to develop and propose technologies using our proprietary Protecting Agent* and other technologies, and continue to accumulate experimental data and other chemical knowledge as we work to solve our customers' problems.
We are also developing DX infrastructure such as electronic and systematized sales and technical information.
* A series of organic compounds that selectively absorbs on specific metals and controls plating reaction and physical property of coating by the property of donating or withdrawing electrons.

Social and Relationship Capital
We have cultivated a relationship of trust with our customers through our ability to handle large item small scale production and short delivery times, which is made possible by limiting the production of plating chemicals to formulation operations, and through the speed of communication and decision making and the generous support provided by having sales, engineering, and manufacturing departments all located at the same location. We have also maintained good relationships with suppliers of chemical raw materials for plating chemicals for many years.
In February 2019, we established the JPC Scholarship Foundation to provide scholarship assistance to young people studying science and engineering with excellent qualifications to help them pursue their future dreams.

Natural Capital
We have secured stable sources for noble metals and rare minerals that are indispensable for the production of plating chemicals.
At the same time, from the viewpoint of sustainability, we promote the development of environmentally friendly products that conserve noble metals and avoid the use of substances that adversely affect the environment.

Financial Capital
Through efficient management as a fabless and development-oriented company and highly profitable and competitive products, profits have been accumulated. As a result, we have maintained a high level of net assets while providing a stable and constant level of shareholder returns, and with no debt, our financial base is expected to remain stable. Forecasts call for the use of cash reserves, including funds obtained through the reduction of specified investment shares, for the execution of the strategic investments set forth in the Medium-Term Management Plan.

Manufactured Capital
In order to develop and refine new products and respond quickly to diverse customer needs, we have evaluation and analysis equipment, such as High-frequency Plasma Spectrometers and High Performance Liquid Chromatograph for analyzing impurities in plating solutions, Focused Ion Beam System and Auger Electron Spectroscope for observing and analyzing the surface and cross sections of plated coatings.
In the laboratory, our skilled technical staff performs plated coatings fabrication and evaluation based on customer requests, as well as trial plating of substrates entrusted by our customers. Since we focus on the production of plating chemicals for formulation, we do not have a large scale production facilities.
